RAIN RAIN RAIN!

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!

Welcome to Martinsville! This is where Hendricks Motorsports gets given a win every year!

Will Jeff be able to take Victory Lane back away from Jimmy Johnson?

This track definitely belongs to the Hendricks Motorsports the last few years and I look forward to them winning here again today especially with Jeff starting on the pole due to the rain-out this week.
I am def not a Jeff Gordon fan but I think this may be the week he breaks the
curse and gets the win today!

Hopefully, my driver Kevin Harvick will have something to say about all this!
He was second in the only practice session here this week and is looking good to pull off the upset! Go Harvick!

As there was not a lot happening at the track this week, not a lot to report to you guys about, so let me introduce you to two names you may be hearing in the future!

Jeffrey Earnhardt- Jeff is the grandson of The Man! Jeff is beginning to get some attention as the new Earnhardt on the block. He is the son of Kerry Earnhardt and cousin to Dale JR.
He will be making his Nationwide series debut at Dover on May 30! He will run several Nationwide races this year and make his rookie debut in 2010! Also, folks say he can drive!!!

Next up is Sutherlin Marlin, the 19 year old daughter of Sterling Marlin.

It may be a while for her to show up on national tv as she is only going to be racing the local tracks around Nashville for now, but Dad says she has talent!
I look forward to seeing her in the future and think Nascar needs a few females in the series!

Well, that's about it for this week, I think the rain is done at Martinsville, so Let's Go Racin Boyz!

WELCOME TO THUNDER VALLEY!

It seems like a month since we were on the track. Glad to be back racing!
I hate off weeks. I keep looking on the computer to see who won the pole,
Sat afternoons, I'm searching the TV channels for the Nationwide race,
then Sunday afternoons are filled with "Well, what do you wanna do?
I don't care..
What do you wanna do?"
But this weekend is special for Nascar! Bristol is true short track racing!
I love the cereal bowl! My driver (Kevin Harvick) likes this track as well, and
Congrats on his Nationwide win there yesterday!

Congrats also to Mr. Mark Martin on his second pole in a row!
Hopefully, the racing gods will look more favorable on his finish this week and allow him some success! I really would like to see Mark win a championship! GO MARK!

Could this be the breakout weekend for Jeff Gordon?

My picks have not done that well the past few weeks, I hope to have better luck this week!
At Bristol, anything can happen, so good luck to everyone and Go Harvick!

C'ya at the track!

Who is?

This week is a bit of a twist with our Who is ? segment!

A month ago, most Nascar fans could not tell you who either of our two participants are, but they are all over the news now!

First up, allow me to introduce Kortnie Coles.
She is from Houston, Texas and is a former girlfriend of Dale Earnhardt Jr. My understanding is she attended a Texas race in 2004 and met Dale Jr at an autograph session and they hit it off. Now this little tryst did not last long, but did give her a few moments in the spotlight. Now she is popping up again... She is on the new season of America's Next Top Model TV show.
Will the Nascar fans tune in to see what she is up to now or hope she gets kicked off real quick? At 24 years old, she will be the second oldest contestant and she is now stated in the plus-size category.
So sounds like she may have her work cut out for her for sure!

Next up is Jimmy Watts.
Now Jimmy is probably the only Nascar pit crew member that 90% of fans could name if asked.
He is the guy that ran out to the edge of the track at Atlanta to retrieve a tire that got loose from Marcose Ambrose's car during a green flag pit stop.
Now the blame fell square upon his shoulders at that time, as the caution flag was waved and put a lot of cars that had already pitted a lap down.
This ruined the entire race in my opinion. Jimmy was chastized by his crew chief, sent to the big red trailer, suspended for the rest of the race, and now, Nascar has suspended him for 4 races and placed him on probation for the rest of the season. Fair?
Not really, as the caution would have came out anyway just for the tire being there, but we have got to punish someone don't we?

Now for a treat, see what happened to the last loose tire from
an Ambrose race car!

Ok, Congrats to Mr. Kurt Busch for his Atlanta win! Hated to see Bobby Labonte and Mark Martin not have the day I hoped they would! Jeff Gordon got close to breaking his no-win streak and Harvick was coming as well.

This week, Nascar takes a rare off week, so everyone enjoy the weekend,
get out and do something with your family and let them know you love them!

See ya at Bristol!

Hitchhiking home from Vegas!

Hitch hiking home...That's what I would have been doing had I actually placed the bets on my race picks for last week. Gee did I miss the mark. But how do you predict Rousch blowing three engines? Have they remedied that problem? I sure hope so.

This is old school week for me. I may just be getting old, but my fading memory tells me that Bobby Labonte may be on a roll now that he has some good equipment under him again.
He used to own everyone at Atlanta you know! He is coming off a top 5 from Vegas and is gonna go for the gusto this weekend in Hampton, Ga.

Don't forget Mr. Bill! Bill Elliott may be a great darkhorse for this race.
He also used to show off at this track back in the day. Semi-retired you say, maybe so, but that means the few races they do enter must be the ones they think they have a shot at performing well. Makes sense to me, don't it?

Now I reckon the smart money will be put on Jimmie Johnson as he is the current best active driver at Atlanta followed closely by Kyle Busch. They will be a major factor in this race I promise....Did I start making promises and guarantees again? I've got to quit doing that !
It burns me almost every time.

Hope Mr. Happy Harvick, Tony Stewart, and Dale Jr. do good here this week.
All three drivers need a little pick me up to get some momentum going!

Now for the weather forecast for Sunday's race: If I go see the Atlanta race, it WILL be VERY cold and windy, rainy, chance of snow, etc....If I don't go, then it will be a beauthiful day, in the upper 70's with lot's of sunshine. So I'm gonna say I'm not going for now, but may wait to the last moment just so I can fool mother nature lol.

Good luck to all, hope to see ya there!
